Open
Open is a collaborative leadership development programme which helps researchers to initiate collaborative and interdisciplinary projects. Universities including Brunel University, King’s College London, Royal Holloway, University of London and UCL have taken part in the programme.
The next Open programme will be an Open Residential at Barnett Hill on 18-19 March 2013. Apply now to join the programme.
The programme offers a friendly, supportive and managed risk environment in which to activate or build professional networks and learn public and industry engagement techniques.
Open is based on the award-winning NESTA Crucible (Winner, Times Higher Awards 2010 for Outstanding Support for Early Career Researchers) and Strathclyde Launchpad (Short-listed, Times Higher Awards 2008) programmes. It is flexible enough to fit around researchers’ busy schedules.
Two versions of the Open programme are available.
- Open Residential is a two or three day residential programme which includes optional follow-up Open Group meetings at participants’ home institutions.
- Open Central is a one day intensive course in central London.
